Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her high-quality performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Oscar for her role in the film Piano. Actresses have a long experience of performing on Broadway, Off-Broadway and other projects. Since her childhood, she has been passionate about performing. She was Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. The actress was deaf in one ear after suffering from Mumps, but she didn't allow this handicap to hinder her desire to be an actress. When she was a teenager she studied drama, and then moved in New York City. After a casual encounter, she got stuck in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley and the two worked together on the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart' which made Hunter's debut. After she was settled in Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came in the role of an actress playing the main character in Swing Shift. Over the past three decades she's appeared in various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
